Our Mission is to provide mentoring and training in a Christian atmosphere where at-risk students can develop job skills, work habits and/or pursue further education.
About Us

My name is Jonathan Stebbins. I am the worship leader at Crosspoint Church in Mobile, Alabama. I have been serving in Baptist churches as youth and music minister since 1999 but now God is moving me to work with at-risk youth of the Greater Mobile area and hopefully with Strickland Juvenile Center.

My background and training are in music and ministry. I received my Bachelor of Music Education in May 2001 from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and then received my Master of Divinity in December 2007 from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.

In 2003, I developed a strong interest in the hobby of wooden boat building and fine woodworking. At first, I considered the new passion a pastime, and later the fascination prompted career aspirations. I was struggling emotionally between career opportunities in music ministry and naval architecture. By way of spiritual advice and encouragement from family, I completed seminary, and in November 2007 accepted a position as music minister at Government Street Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama.

In September 2009, I resigned from GSBC to develop a new juvenile ministry working with out-of-school, at-risk youth. The mission is using traditional wooden boat construction as a teaching tool to mentor and train youth for viable careers in the building industry and/or prepare them for higher education.
